What These Classes Offer

Parent and baby classes come in different formats depending on what you and your baby need. Some focus on your postnatal recovery. Others teach you baby massage and developmental movement. Some do both.

Postnatal yoga addresses diastasis recti, pelvic floor recovery, the kind of core reconnection you need after pregnancy and birth. Modifications for caesarean recovery. Attention to what's actually safe for your body right now, not generic exercise.

Baby massage teaches you sequences that help with colic, sleep, sensory development, and bonding. You learn on your baby during class. They receive the massage. You learn techniques you can use at home whenever they need settling.

Movement classes you do together - baby yoga where you move and your baby's involved, family yoga where older siblings can join in. These are about connection and fun more than fitness. Though you still get movement your body needs.

Some classes blend formats. You might work on your own core strength, then learn baby massage, then have time for connection and chat with other parents. The combination addresses what both you and your baby need.

What Sessions Feel Like

Postnatal yoga moves at the right pace for bodies that have been through pregnancy and birth. Gentle when you need gentle. Stronger when you're ready. Your teacher watches for alignment, reminds you about your pelvic floor, gives modifications for everything.

Baby massage classes teach you sequences step by step. Your teacher demonstrates on a doll, you practice on your baby. Some babies love it immediately. Others take time to settle into it. Both are normal. You'll learn techniques that help with wind, with sleep, with general fussiness.

Movement classes you do together have moments of chaos and moments of magic. Your baby might love the songs and movement. They might need a feed halfway through. The class holds all of it.

You'll leave feeling more connected to your body, more confident with your baby, less alone in the whole experience of early parenting.

Who These Classes Are For

Anyone with a baby. First-time parents. Parents of multiple children who want dedicated time with the new one. Parents recovering from straightforward births or complicated ones. All bodies, all experiences welcome.

Postnatal classes are for parents at any stage of recovery - six weeks postpartum or six months or beyond. Diastasis recti doesn't heal on a timeline. Neither does pelvic floor recovery. Come when you're ready.

Baby massage classes work for newborns through to babies starting to crawl. Different stages benefit in different ways. Younger babies often settle and sleep better. Older babies enjoy the sensory input and connection.

You don't need to know what you're doing. You don't need to have it together. You just need to show up with your baby. The rest gets figured out.
