What Actually Is Baby Yoga?

Gentle movement, baby massage, and sensory play to support infant development and parent-baby bonding. You'll learn techniques to help with common baby issues like colic, sleep, and tension.

Sessions include guided movements that support motor development, massage sequences that calm and soothe, songs and interactions that engage your baby, and time to connect with other parents.

Different teachers bring different approaches. Some focus more on massage. Others on movement and play. Most blend all elements and adapt to the babies present.

The common thread: it's about connection. Learning to read your baby's cues, supporting their development, and having dedicated time together that's calm and playful.

Sessions are typically 45-60 minutes. Suitable from around 6 weeks to pre-crawling.

Why Baby Yoga Helps

You want to support your baby's development. Help with colic or sleep issues. Learn techniques that calm and soothe. Connect with your baby beyond just feeding and changing.

Baby yoga gives you tools and confidence. The massage helps with digestion and sleep. The movement supports physical development. The songs and interactions build your bond.

But it's not just for baby. It's for you too. Time with other parents who get it. Space to slow down and just be present with your baby.

People come for colic relief, sleep support, developmental guidance, or because they want dedicated bonding time.

What to Expect

Bring your baby, a blanket or mat, and anything you need for comfort. Your teacher guides you through the session but adapts based on how babies are doing.

You'll learn massage strokes that help with specific issues. Gentle movements that support development. Songs and games that engage your baby. There's usually time for a cuppa and chat.

Some babies will be engaged the whole time. Others will need feeding or settling. That's completely fine. This is real life with babies, not a performance.

After, you'll have techniques to use at home. Your baby might sleep better that night from the massage and movement. You'll feel more connected and confident.

Who Baby Yoga Is For

Anyone with a baby.

Suitable from around 6 weeks (once you're recovered from birth and feeling ready) up to when they're crawling. All babies welcome - content ones, fussy ones, sleepy ones.

You don't need yoga experience. You don't need to know anything about baby massage. Your teacher will show you everything.
