Hot Yoga

Yoga with the heating cranked up.

You'll sweat. Properly. The kind that drips. The kind that makes tight muscles finally let go.

It's challenging. It's cleansing. It's the reset you didn't know you needed.

What Actually Is Hot Yoga?

Vinyasa flow practised in a heated room. Temperature varies but expect warmth that makes you sweat within minutes.

The heat changes everything. Muscles warm up faster. You can stretch deeper. Your body releases what it's been holding. Sweating becomes part of the practice.

Different teachers create different flows. Some follow set sequences. Others vary it. The common thread: heat intensifies whatever you're doing.

This isn't for beginners to yoga. You need some familiarity with poses and how your body responds to practice.

Why Hot Yoga Works

Your body holds tension in layers. Surface level you can stretch. Deeper stuff needs more encouragement.

Heat gets into those deeper layers. Tight hips finally open. Stubborn shoulders drop. Your body stops fighting and starts letting go.

The sweat is cleansing. Not just physically - there's something about working that hard that clears mental fog too. You leave feeling wrung out in the best way.

People come for deep flexibility work, intense practice, or because they need to properly work their body.

What to Expect

Bring water. Bring a towel. You'll need both.

The room is warm when you arrive. Within minutes of moving, you'll be sweating. By halfway through, you'll be dripping. This is normal.

You'll flow through sequences similar to regular vinyasa but the heat makes everything more intense. Poses you can usually hold become challenging. Flexibility you don't usually have suddenly appears.

Listen to your body. If you need to rest, rest. If you feel dizzy or nauseous, stop.

After, drink loads of water. Your body's worked hard.

Who Hot Yoga Is For

People who want intensity.

If you're new to yoga, start with regular classes first. If you're pregnant, this isn't for you. If you have heart conditions or heat sensitivity, check with your doctor.

But if you're after a challenging practice that makes you work, this is it.

All bodies who can handle heat welcome. No judgement.
