Inner Child Workshops

The parts of you that got hurt early. The infant who needed holding and got criticism. The toddler who needed safety and got chaos. The child who needed to be seen and got ignored. They're still there. Still waiting. Still affecting how you move through the world now.

This workshop provides structure for that healing. Not just thinking about childhood intellectually, but actually connecting with your inner child, hearing what they need, beginning to give them what wasn't given then.

If you're in therapy addressing childhood trauma, this workshop complements that work beautifully. The somatic, experiential approach accesses what talking alone doesn't always reach.

Inner Child Workshops

What Happens in the Workshop

Guided visualisation helps you connect with your inner child. You'll meet them at different ages - the infant needing holding, the toddler needing safety, the school-age child needing validation. Each age carries different wounds, different needs.

You'll dialogue with your inner child. What do they need to tell you? What are they still waiting for? What promises need making? This gets emotional. People cry, grieve for the child they were, rage at caregivers who didn't show up properly.

Reparenting exercises help you provide now what wasn't given then. Visualising yourself as the adult holding your child self, giving comfort, safety, validation. Even in visualisation, it touches something real. Tears of release. Softening. Safety where there was fear.

Sound cradle meditation integrates the work. After accessing those tender, wounded parts, you need holding. The sound gives your nervous system permission to relax, to trust, to feel held. Some people experience this as the parental holding they never got.

The reparenting portion brings relief. Your adult self finally giving your child self what they've been waiting for all these years. Even in visualisation, it touches something real. Tears of release. Softening. Safety where there was fear.

How the Workshop Feels

Expect to access young, vulnerable parts of yourself. This means tears. Grief. Possibly anger. The workshop creates safety for whatever needs expressing.

Connecting with your inner child isn't abstract. When you meet them in meditation, you'll feel their emotions like they're happening now. Fear. Loneliness. Abandonment. Your adult self witnessing your child self's pain - it's confronting and necessary.

Then there's rage, often. Anger at caregivers who should have known better, should have done better. The workshop allows space for that anger. It's been waiting to be expressed for decades. Let it move through.

After the workshop, you might feel raw, tender, exhausted. This work takes energy. But there's also relief. Lightness. Like you've been carrying your inner child's pain for years and finally set it down.

Who This Work Is For

Adults dealing with relationship patterns, emotional regulation struggles, or chronic people-pleasing often trace it back to childhood wounding. This workshop gives you tools to address the root, not just manage symptoms.

If you're in therapy, dealing with trauma, or doing any kind of healing work, inner child work deepens that process. Many therapists recommend somatic approaches alongside talk therapy. This is that.

You need emotional stability for this work. If you're in acute crisis or early trauma recovery, speak with your therapist before attending. This workshop goes deep. You need solid enough ground to handle what surfaces.

If you're ready to stop repeating patterns that started in childhood - this work helps. You can't heal what you don't acknowledge. The workshop helps you acknowledge, witness, and begin to reparent.
