Transcend in the Community

Supporting Wellbeing Where It’s Needed Most

We created Transcend in the Community CIC because we believe wellbeing should be for everyone, not just the people who can pay studio prices. It’s our not-for-profit side, the work that takes our classes and support out into the wider Salford community.

The feedback we get back is the bit that keeps us going. People tell us these classes have helped them feel better, find their confidence again, and start coming back to themselves.

Working with Salford CVS

We’re a proud partner of Salford CVS, the people who hold the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector together across Salford. They connect us with the projects, groups, and people we’d never reach on our own.

That partnership is how the work travels further. Carers, isolated older people, mental health groups, kids’ programmes. Anyone the local sector is already supporting, we turn up where we’re useful.

We also work with local wellbeing projects and partner organisations to offer free or low-cost classes. Yoga, sound, breathwork, movement, reconnection. The kind of things that change how people feel.

Our referral form is for wellbeing partner organisations only. If you would like to find out more about being referred, get in touch.

Powered by Cake (and Coffee)

Our Soul Tribe Kitchen café, right here at Transcend, is not-for-profit – with every slice of cake, coffee, or lunch you buy, you’re helping to fund our CIC.

This self-sustaining model means we can keep showing up for the people who need us, without always waiting for grants or funding. So every time you tuck into that delicious brownie – you’re making a difference.

(Go on, have another… it’s for a good cause.)

Volunteers Are the Whole Thing

If you walk into Transcend on any given day, the person greeting you might be on the team, or they might be a volunteer. You probably won’t be able to tell. That’s the point.

Volunteers don’t make Transcend possible. Volunteers ARE Transcend. People who came in once for a class, fell in love with the space, and asked how they could give time back. That’s the model. That’s the heart of it.

If you want to be part of it, we’d love to hear from you. There’s room for whatever you bring.
